Suchu Dance presents — Drift Battalion

Heather went to the performance of Drift Battalion last week and has been raving about it ever since, so Blake and I (Kathleen) will be at the SUNDAY (April 1, 2007) performance if anyone would like to join us! I recommend buying your tickets in advance because they are not only limited, but popular as well (as we found out on Saturday when we showed up two minutes before the show to find out that the house was FULL! oops.)

   Suchu
Barnevelder, 2201 Preston St. @ Hutchins
Tickets: $18, or $14 if purchased 24 hours in advance

“Six dancers square off, in-the-round, in Suchu Dance´s breathtaking new production with audience seated on all four sides and amidst the action. Sprinkled with wit, beauty, sassiness, and a refreshing un-self-consciousness. Only 60 seats per show! A word to the wise: ensure yourself a seat by buying your tickets online (and save 4 bucks per ticket by doing so).”

Rendez-vous with Spacetaker @ 13 Wine Bar

We had a great afternoon with Spacetaker on Sunday — (lots of) champagne, dancing, performances…and all for a great cause. Spacetaker is gearing up for their newest project, Houston Artist geared at bringing information, technology and marketing/PR to artists in Houston.

Keep an eye out in your HYPA newsletter for the next opportunity to experience Spacetaker programing on April 18! We are invited to attend their “Artist Saloon” - a (free) night of libation and informal discussion with working artists from various artistic arenas.
